Terms of use
Last updated 13 October 2026
These terms cover the use of Kubinu Reach, a service of Kubinu Geopspatial Limited (RC 9913648), S2, Novare Shared Offices, Gateway Mall, Lugbe, Abuja. By opening a workspace you agree to them on behalf of your organisation.
The service
Kubinu Reach places the lists you upload (your distributors and their territories, your outlets and your monthly sales) on a grid of open data: population, state and LGA boundaries and mapped markets. It reports how many people live within a straight-line distance of an outlet you billed, where groups of people live out of reach of every such outlet, and how each distributor's share of your sales compares with its territory's share of the population. It does not measure travel time or distance by road. The figures are estimates built on the sources and methods we publish. They support your decisions; they do not make them.
Evaluation
A new workspace starts as a 14-day evaluation workspace with sample data. When the evaluation ends the workspace is read-only for 14 days and then locks, unless it moves to a plan.
Plans and payment
A plan is agreed in writing and invoiced in naira. Prices exclude VAT. When a plan ends without renewal the workspace is read-only for 14 days and then locks. The Plan screen and the export of your own data stay open. Write to billing@kubinu.com about invoices.
Your data
What you upload stays yours. We process it only to provide the service to your workspace, on your instructions, as your data processor. You confirm that you may share it with us. Do not upload BVN, NIN, phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth or the names of outlet owners. A column whose heading looks like one of these is not read, and it is taken out of the file before we store it.
Open data and licences
The base layers come from the open sources listed on the sources page, each under its own licence. Reach is measured in a straight line, so no figure and no column of a file you export is derived from OpenStreetMap. Population and boundaries may sit beside your own columns in one file, with their sources named in it. The base map drawn under your data comes from OpenStreetMap and carries its attribution. Keep the attribution on any map or report you share.
Accounts and acceptable use
Each person signs in with their own account. Keep passwords and two-step codes to yourself and tell us at once if an account is misused. Do not try to reach another organisation's workspace, overload the service or copy the base layers out in bulk.
Support access
Kubinu staff enter a workspace only through a support session with a stated reason. The session shows a banner on every page and is written to your audit log.
Availability
We work to keep the service running and tell workspace admins about planned maintenance. We do not promise that it will never be interrupted.
Liability
The service is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, Kubinu is not liable for decisions taken on the figures, for loss of profit or for indirect loss, and its total liability in any year is limited to the fees paid for that year.
Ending
Either side may end a plan with 30 days' written notice. Export your data before the workspace is closed. A closed workspace is scheduled for deletion 30 days after closing.
Changes and law
We may change these terms; the date at the top changes with them, and a change that matters is sent to workspace admins before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
